Tata Chemicals Appoints Bhaskar Bhat on its Board 
1.Tata Chemicals has appointed Titan’s Managing Director Bhaskar Bhat as Additional Director on its board.
2.Tata Chemicals also appointed John Mulhall as its Chief Financial Officer.
3.Mr Bhat, an alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad had joined Titan (then Tata Watch Project) in 1983. He joins the board with prior experience in sales and marketing, HR, international business.
4.He has worked as Finance Director at Tata Chemicals Europe, followed by positions as Vice President and CFO of Tata Chemicals North America Inc and CFO at Tata Chemicals International Pte Ltd, Singapore.


3.Bilateral trade in 2014 amounted to USD 9.51 billion, with Indian exports touching USD 3.17 billion and imports from Russia stood at USD 6.34 billion.

3 Delhi Police Applications to be Launched 
1.Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi today said three upcoming mobile-based applications for reporting economic offences, crime against women and cases of petty thefts will be launched in a month’s time.
2.Speaking after the Police Commemoration Day Parade in New Delhi, he said the first application will be connected with Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police, the second will be linked to Special Unit for Women and Children (SPUW&C) and the third will be treated by a virtual police station.

29 US Navy Captains Visit China’s Lone Aircraft Carrier 
1.Amid simmering South China Sea tensions, China has permitted 29 US naval captains to visit its lone aircraft carrier and meet its personnel to show its prowess.
2.A US delegation composed of 29 naval captains visited the aircraft carrier Liaoning to share their experiences in training, healthcare at sea and aircraft carrier development strategies, China Central Television reported.

More Girls Dying Before Age 5 Than Boys in India: UN Report 
1.India is among the countries with the largest surplus of men and a worrying under-five sex ratio with more girls dying before the age of five than boys, according to a UN report.
2.”The World’s Women 2015″ report launched said men outnumber women in eastern Asia, southern Asia, Oceania, and western Asia.
3.The three regions have the highest surplus of men in absolute numbers: 50.5 million in Eastern Asia (mainly due to China), 49.5 million in Southern Asia (mainly due to India), and 12.1 million in Western Asia (mainly due to Saudi Arabia and the UAE).
4.In absolute terms, countries with the largest surplus of men are China (52 million), in Eastern Asia, and India (43 million), in Southern Asia.

Flipkart Names Samardeep Subandh as Chief Marketing Officer 
1.Homegrown e-commerce giant Flipkart announced the appointment of Samardeep Subandh as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
2.He will report to Mukesh Bansal, Head of the e-commerce platform, Flipkart.
3.The company said Samar has over 17 years of experience in the consumer goods industry and spent 15 years with Hindustan Unilever across various marketing, sales and business assignments.

China Issues First Offshore Renminbi Note in London 
1.China’s central bank has issued its first offshore renminbi note in London coinciding with President Xi Jinping’s high-profile visit to the UK as the world’s second largest economy ramps up efforts to popularise its currency.2.The renminbi is the official currency of the People’s Republic of China.
3.The note is worth five billion yuan ($786 million) with an interest rate of 3.1 per cent, the central bank said in an online statement.
4.The move follows the agreements reached at the 7th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue in September.
